10/10 experience from entering the door to leaving. Absolutely incredible. So much care is put into the service, the food, the layout of the space. Skipped the wine pairing but ordered two glasses recommended by the server after asking for the funkiest of them all. Great value for a meal in Iceland. I can’t wait to go back.
I’m not sure if words could accurately describe how incredible this meal was. The flavor combinations were some of the most unique and inventive I’ve ever had. There were 18 courses with many one to three bites of pure heaven. As much as I’d love to describe all the dishes, I’d really recommend trying to go in mostly blind. You’ll be pleasantly surprised and delighted.
Every course was fabulous with at least 5 truly stand out dishes that I’d love to eat over and over again. There was nothing pretentious or unattainable here. Everything on the plate made sense and was a beautiful highlight of Icelandic food and culture.
Like I said, words cannot describe how amazing this meal was. I’ve had many experiences of Michelin star restaurants and this is my new favorite.
An absolute perfect choice for our last night in Iceland! From the creative presentation to the exquisite cuisine this was a stellar experience. We had a number of staff members serve us throughout the two hour dinner and each one clearly loved what they do. It shows.
Food, atmosphere and staff were fantastic… I think Dill is actually aiming for 2 Michelin Stars right now. the non-5/5 Google Star reviews are a bit dramatic or just old. Especially considering how expensive basic food is in Iceland, I’d say this the best value meal I’ve had here (enjoyment relative to price). Had a fantastic time, a nice personal touch for a birthday surprise, and the deserts in particular were super unique and delicious.
Service is good. Food is good looking but really salty and sour. Dessert is special but red beers is hard to follow. Also replacement for food allergies can improve, it not equivalent meat or fish
Meal was phenomenal, atmosphere was lovely and service was kind. Our favorite meal in Iceland and to celebrate special occasion! Worth every penny and more. Tried the local kombucha too which was really special. The desserts were spectacular, my favorite the parsnip caviar 😍 deserves two stars min and I’ve been to two three stars ⭐️
What an incredible experience, each dish was just spectacular and so were all the drinks paired (non-alcoholic and alcoholic pairing). There was more flavour in a singular mussel than I think I've had in my entire life up to now.
The service was fantastic with each member being passionate about the craft in explaining each dish and drink to us.
Shout out to our server who I think was called Alma who made the experience even more special with her warmth and kindness when serving us, massive thank you.
restaurant is a little tricky to find, when you think you have arrived just look up and you will see diners thru the window on the 2nd level
the service is immaculate, as to be expected by a michelin star restaurant
if you stand up for even one second, the staff are already pushing in your chair and folding your napkin
the dishes were ready every time you finished a course, i dont think my fiancée stopped smiling the entire time
the chefs started with 4 small dishes, all of which really prepared you for the next 2 hours or so
i especially enjoyed the vegetable soup from the first course, and it paired really well with the champagne my fiancée had ordered us
we took a ton of pictures, so i am getting all of those uploaded
one will be able to see how many courses and dishes are brought out
it is a lot, but it is a really great experience, even without the wine pairing
i think my favorite dish was the lamb cigars and the dry-aged lamb, truly amazing
my fiancée and i also really enjoyed the desserts as one of the dishes included sorrel, which was a surprising ingredient that paid tribute to my trinidad roots
furthermore, the bread was Öland bread, which comes from öland in sweden - a city that the fiancée's grandpa and dad both grew up - so we loved those elements
great experience, would highly recommend, and it is in a great location in downtown reykavik
expect to pay about $170 usd per person
